Sea fishing
The sea is for everyone. How can you find the good fishing spots? How can you get to deep water without a boat? What fish can you catch? What bait should you use? The main article guides you on these topics. You may catch as much fish as you can eat, and you can even take 15 kg with you out of Norway.
Did you know that not everyone is allowed to use all the fishing tools available for sale? This includes lobster pots, crab traps, fishing nets and fish traps. Get to know the legal seasons for catching fish and avoid any fees!
Fresh water fishing
So much water, so many rivers. Beautiful nature. Enjoyable opportunities. Would you like to be one of the people catching salmon, trout, carp, pike, perch, bream, catfish, char or one of the many other types of fresh water fish?
Be aware that salmon, sea trout and arctic char are not part of the common group of fresh water fish and there are special rules for rivers with these kinds of fish.
Fresh water fishing is not given the same freedom as sea fishing. Most of the waters and rivers are private property so be sure to get the fishing license you need!
